We had so much fun hosting our client’s company picnic earlier this month at Duchman Family Winery and Trattoria Lisina. The food was amazing, the games and activities were a blast and the venue was beautiful!

I can’t believe Ava is going to be 2 years old on Sunday! She is my little Irish Lady, born on Saint Patrick’s Day. To help celebrate the day we are going to make these yummy Lucky Charms ice cream sandwiches. I always loved this cereal as a kid and I can’t wait to make these with her. Check out the recipe from PunchFork.com below to make these treats for yourself.

Lucky Charm Ice Cream Sandwiches makes 8 to 12 sandwiches, depending on size
3 tablespoons butter
1 package (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups Lucky Charms cereal
1 pint French vanilla ice cream
Heat butter, marshmallows, vanilla, and salt in a large pot set over medium heat. Cook down until melted, about 5 minutes, stirring continuously with a heat-proof spatula. Turn off the heat and pour in the Lucky Charms cereal, and stir with a spatula until evenly coated with marshmallow mixture. The consistency will be very thick and slightly difficult to stir. Scoop out the Lucky Charm/marshmallow mixture onto a lipped baking pan and press down into the pan, flattening as much as possible. Your hands will be very sticky, but keep pressing down hard to create an even plain of Lucky Charms.
Allow to set/rest for about 5 minutes then cut out circular shapes using a cookie cutter. You can store the “cookies” in a sealed container for a few days at this point.
To serve, smear about 1/4 to 1/3 cup ice cream between two Lucky Charm cookies, creating a sandwich.

Lately, one of my favorite wedding flowers is a new breed called the quicksand rose. It’s soft, beige hue is perfect for a wedding in any season.
Just look at these pretty things! They have gained a lot of attention with the past popularity of the blush wedding, but they are so fabulous, I’m sure they will be around for a long time to come!
