A LOOK BACK :: SARAH + DAVID
Purple, trellis and velvet…oh my!
Ahhh!!! I love this wedding so much and want to go back. I miss you Sarah and Kathy!
Sarah and David were married in Austin on December 22nd. We designed their wedding using a rich winter color palette with shades of purple and paired it with shimmer, sequined and velvet fabrics.
The ceremony seating was set in the round so guests felt close to the bride and groom – even if seated in the back row. The chuppah was draped in eggplant taffeta and adorned with fresh flowers and purple chandeliers. Purple dupioni chair pads finished off our ceremony look.
Guests then moved to the cocktail hour which included a stunning custom band backdrop using trellis fabric, a 4-sided bar with abundant corner florals, an escort card display using trays filled with purple jordan almonds, and rich purple velvet linens and chair pads.
We covered the ballroom chandeliers with custom shades, draped the room in ivory, used lavender shimmer linens, custom silver velvet damask chair pads, hammered glass chargers, round trellis table numbers and three different looks for our table centerpieces. My favorite part of the entire room was the ombre stage flowers and the gathered fabric band backdrop.
The groom’s cake was the most amazing ever and definitely the talk of the party. And the night ended with a super swanky after party — dark purples, mirrored bars, and modern white lounge furniture.
What a night!
