INTERN INTRO :: CHRISTINE
Hey there! My name is Christine Hak and I am going to be a senior at the University of Texas at Austin. I am pursuing a degree in Education for Youth and Community Studies and a minor and certification in Business. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, however the Austin city life has completely stolen my heart. After experiencing the city for a few years, I not only fell in love with the energy of the city-goers, but also the food and entertainment. What’s there not to love about Austin!?
After working with many companies on the catering side of event planning, I knew I wanted to expand my horizons and learn the other side of the industry. I luckily stumbled upon Caplan Miller Events and rushed to apply after seeing their amazing portfolio. I am definitely looking forward to my summer internship with Caplan Miller Events and learning each and every detail that goes into the planning. Getting to work side by side with designers who are just as passionate about the field as I am, I can’t help but be excited to take part in the planning and see these events revealed right before my eyes.
One interest that I have is food. When I worked different catering events, I was able to learn that food is an art and a big part of what goes into these extravagant parties. I started selecting different, mouth-watering food items from each of the menus that I saw at the parties and began to try and recreate them at home. Here are some of my favorites!
