Hi! My name is Hayley Gurwitz and I am soon to be a senior at the University of Texas at Austin. I am majoring in Human Relations along with completing a Business Foundations minor. I was born in Nashville, Tennessee but raised in the great state of Texas in San Antonio. Upon my graduation in May of 2013, I hope to pursue my career in New York City in the field of Communication and Business.

As a cheerleader at the University of Texas, we were requested to perform at a Bar Mitzvah in Austin, Texas. Coincidentally, this Bar Mitzvah party was being coordinated by Caplan Miller Events. After being blown away by the magnificence of the venue and décor, I could not help but be in awe of this company. As soon as the time came to apply for internships, I knew where my first choice would be. Here at Caplan Miller, I am beyond thrilled to work with such talented and genuine people who have such a heart for the business.

I have always had a knack for event planning and absolutely love watching projects grow from a simple idea into a beautiful affair. This is my first experience getting a full behind the scenes look at professional event planning from start to finish and I could not be more excited. My favorite thing is watching all the small details come together to form a full-blown, imaginative and stunning event. Rather than any individual project we have planned thus far, I am most eager this summer to learn about the event planning process and seeing events come alive as I help the clients and designers during my internship at Caplan Miller.
