Caplan Miller Events Blog

My name is Emily Honigblum and I am going to be a senior at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. I was born and raised in San Antonio, but I love all of the different parts of Texas. I am a Fashion Merchandising major and a writing minor at TCU and I have always wanted to live in Austin and get to know the city, which is how I stumbled upon Caplan Miller Events.

During the course of my internship, I want to gain experience and knowledge on the event planning industry as a whole. Not only do I want to attend the actual events, but also I want to be a part of the detailed planning and preparation that goes into each event. I want to be able to work with others as a team and form relationships with those that I am working with this summer.

After reviewing all of the events for the summer, I am definitely looking forward to Austin Fashion Week the most. This will allow me to combine my fashion interests along with my event planning interests and I am looking forward to seeing how it all comes together. Austin Fashion Week will be an amazing and fun experience and this is an event that I not only feel lucky to work, but I am also extremely excited to see the different venues and designers. I love airy and romantic styles but with a funky twist; I find it to be extremely stylish when clothes have a swift and fluid motion to them. Austin Fashion Week will be a great time for me to put my different skills to work and learn along the way!
