At the age of 21, Yves Saint Laurent, held the top post at the French House of Dior before branching out under his own label in 1961. Under the YSL line, he introduced many revolutionary concepts, including Le Smoking (the women’s tuxedo) and the safari jacket. The legendary Yves Saint Laurent designed clothes that defined entire eras of fashion. Current designer Stefano Pilati continues the brand’s reputation for beautifully avant-garde creations and today I introduce you to the season’s hottest nail trend – the Manicure Le Smoking by YSL. An elegant, reinterpretation, of the French Manicure. Two deep black shades, one matte and one shiny. aka Tuxedo Nails.

Now go get a tuxedo mani — and keep ‘em short. Long, dark nails are the worst!!!

Last week we had the wonderful opportunity to put together a few events for some very important people from Nike. The events wrapped with a relaxing day on the lake and an amazing dinner from the awarding winning Executive Chef of Congress, David Bull. It was a perfect day and I am thrilled to share the photos. I am so excited to share one of my favorite events from this year. Lydia + Will’s wedding was held at the bride’s family’s ranch in Gonzales, Texas. This March evening was pure magic and I would love to re-live it all over again — especially that dancing tent!

I could not have been more proud of the CME team for the months and months of work that went into this event. And a particular thanks to our incredible design group – who never ceases to amaze us – FILO Productions, Marquee Event Group, Townsley Designs, Westbank Flower Market and Kurant Events.

With Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner, I am obsessing over the thousands of beautiful ways to decorate with pumpkins. The pumpkin has come along way in the last few years, and can be used in any fall decor theme.
