Summer is most definitely upon us. Whoa nelly – who isn’t talking about this heat? I dont need much during the summer…. the lake, the beach, the pool… that’s about it. Well, almost. Here are my top 10 summer essentials:

Neutrogena Wet Skin — Have you tried this yet? You can spray it on when you are wet. Loves it!

Im one of those girls who usually sticks to Bubble Bath, Sweetheart and Ballet Slippers – or some combination of those mixed together. But!! I recently discovered OPI’s “Step Right Up” and its perfect. (and people, please stop using black polish in the summer). Want to go brighter? Essie’s Coral Reef is the cutest (thx mees Amy for the intro).

Have you seen these weird eggs yet?? Its lip balm. I’ve tried a few of the flavors and liked the container more than the lip balm itself — until now! EOS’s new Lemon Drop with SPF is my new fav! Get one asap.

This stuff aint just for the kiddies. I NEED this stuff after a day at the lake. My hair gets so dry and tangled and this does the trick.

And speaking of hair… thank goodness for my straight and frizz-less hair in the summer time. Thank you to the brazilian blow out. Austin peeps — call LiAnn at N Salon on Lamar. She’s the best best bestest.

I live in these. I dont think I have wore another shoe since May. Havaianas ‘Slim’ in Light Golden. The most perfect flip flop ever.

Ray Ban aviators in pink/gold. They look good on everyone. You need them.

We just came off of the Fourth of July high— now what do we have to look forward to? Labor Day weekend? Why not create a new holiday for you and your friends to celebrate… Christmas in July! This ain’t your average family gathering. Give this Christmas a twist by having an outdoor day party with a red and green theme, complete with cocktails and presents!

Since it will be another 5 months until the gift-giving season, have a gift exchange with all of your guests! When you send your invite, mention to your guests to bring a gift (under $20) for a grab bag. Everyone will be happy to leave with an extra special treat. I suggest filling a Christmas-style mug with some tasty treats for an inexpensive gift anyone would love to get.

Top off your party theme with some unique Christmas in July decorations. Get some red and green outdoor lighting from a hardware store or red and green inner tubes for the pool. You can even use your left over red plates from the Fourth of July!
